Madelia Community Hospital Announces
October 19th as
Groundbreaking for Expansion Project
Madelia Community
Hospital is proud to announce the Community Groundbreaking for their
Expansion Project will be Thursday, October 19, 2006.
The public is invited to the 10:00 a.m. event on the front
lawn of Madelia Community Hospital.
The $8 million project is a 12,600 sq. foot addition with
private patient rooms including private baths and a 4,818 sq. ft.
remodel/update of the present hospital facility.
Efficiency, patient privacy and wellness plus cost
effectiveness are key factors being addressed through the project,
according to CEO Candace Fenske.
Paulsen Architects designed the project and the general
contractor will be R. W. Carlstrom, Co.
The Madelia Community
Hospital staff and board would like to invite parents, children,
families and friends to take part in this landmark groundbreaking
ceremony for the new expansion.
Following the groundbreaking ceremony, refreshments will be
served in the hospital lobby and courtyard.
“We are very impressed with the design created for our
patients” commented Fenske; “it superbly blends our desire for a
patient-focused therapeutic and safe environment with the technical
and administrative requirements we encounter as a medical
facility.”
