Server Administrator

Full Time

Responsible for our Windows, VMware and shared storage environments, including designing, implementing and supporting these core infrastructure services. Will also assist in all other aspects of information technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, implement and optimize datacenter and branch office server/virtualization/storage infrastructures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing, administering, and supporting global Microsoft Windows Active Directory networks including Directory Services, DNS, DHCP, Client, GPO and Security.
  • Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Experience developing PowerShell scripts for administration tasks.
  • Azure experience, including Azure Active Directory will be considered a strong asset but is not required.
  • Maintains and continuously builds upon technical knowledge within areas of expertise.
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies is required.

Patient/Visitor COVID-19 Screener

Part Time, Monday, Wednesday, Friday - noon to 5 p.m., additional shifts may be available.

Employee needed to work as the front door greeter and COVID-19 screener for the Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic.

Responsibilities: Employee would be responsible for:

  • Taking digital temperature checks on all who enter the building
  • Asking a series of questions related to recent illness or exposure to COVID-19
  • If the person is not wearing a mask, issue a mask that they will be required to wear during their entire time in the facility.

Rate of Pay: $11.00 per hour.

Medical Social Worker

Full Time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Provide professional social work services to individual patients and their families, including psycho-social assessment and referral to community resources, throughout Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC). Provides crisis intervention, emotional support, resource information, discharge planning and legal reporting.  

Responsibilities:

  • Leads communication and coordination of care between departments within MCHC
  • Collaborates with providers and nurses in discharge planning and obtaining community resources
  • Coordinates care conferences for complex or multidisciplinary clients as needed
  • Develops and maintains working relationships with community agencies
  • Accepts referrals for Swing Bed and works with the health care team to determine eligibility and availability, including insurance authorization
  • Submits pre-admission screening when needed
  • Works collaboratively with chronic care management nurse and primary provider 
  • Provides case management services; may do so in conjunction with staff member
  • Performs home visits to assess at-risk situations and other social needs upon the request of the provider
  • Performs legal reports for suspected child abuse and elder abuse and domestic violence referrals
  • Provides patient/family/community education on advanced care planning and assists with completion of health care directives upon request
  • Assists with coordination of bereavement/grief services for patient, family, community, and/or staff
  • Provides in-service education for staff
  • Performs basic administrative tasks related to the job; updating community resource lists, statistics, reports, and other routines as required 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Social Work
  • Two years experience in medical social work in a hospital setting, preferred

Materials Management Clerk/Surgical Tech (NO CALL)

  • Analyzes, develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production decisions in support of business goals.

Pharmacy Technician - Hospital

Part Time

The Pharmacy Technician supports the Pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel. This position will include assisting with inventory of medication and supplies, refilling of Omnicell units, the accurate processing of daily charges, maintenance of dispensing records, and preparation of medications, including sterile IV solutions.

 Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, label and deliver medications and supplies under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in aseptic technique in compounding of IV medications
  • Distribute completed orders appropriately
  • Audit medication storage areas for proper storage of medications, fill and distribute routine stock orders for patient care areas
  • Ensure correct billing of all manually billed items from patient care areas. 

Qualifications: 

  • High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
  • Current registration (CPhT) with the MN State Board of Pharmacy

  Executive Director - Foundation

32 to 36 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Plans, develops, implements and oversees all fund raising activities for the Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic based on a formalized, approved fund development program and marketing strategy that assures adequate funding for services, programs and special projects. Directs activities of the development department and provides leadership and direction to staff. Actively promotes the organization within the community to ensure a broad base of funding resources.

EMT or EMR

Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) is looking for trained Emergency Medical Technicians or Emergency Medical Responders to be part of our team. In the EMT role, you will provide basic life support transport care to patients during inter-facility transfers and respond to 911 calls as necessary. This would be an on-call volunteer position with the possibility of picking up paid shifts during weekdays.                                    

Wages: On-call during the week is paid a small stipend per hour, with a weekend premium. If called out for a 911 or transfer, the rate is significantly higher depending on your certification.

Online or Conventional training may be available for those who are interested in becoming EMTs and EMRs in exchange for two years of service to the Madelia Ambulance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of, and comply with all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards.
  • Assist Advance Life Support staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as needed.
  • Transports patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Document patient information in electornic health record system.
  • Safely and efficiently, transfer care of patients to LTC, Hospitals, etc.
  • Continuing education is required. 

Qualifications

  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B) from MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board.
  • Valid driver’s license and DMV record that meet the MCHC insurability requirements
