Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.

  • Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions.

  • Complete pre-op, post-op and intra-op care to patient.
  • Complete patient assessment, collection and interpretation of pertinent data relevant to patient’s care.

PRN Pharmacist – Lake Crystal Pharmacy

Lake Crystal Pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist. This position will be used to fill open shifts due to sick calls, vacancies, vacations, etc. The pharmacist will provide consulting services to customers regarding general healthcare advice, the effective usage of medications and recommendations of OTC products or supplies.   

Responsibilities:

  • Follows all state and federal guidelines governing the practice of pharmacy

Home Care Admissions Specialist

We are looking for a qualified nurse to assist in the day to day activities in the MCHC Home Care office. This full-time RN’s duties will include receiving intake information, admission decision making, quality reporting data collection, assist with ICD-10 coding, OASIS assessment review for accuracy and assisting with staff education. This RN will work closely with the home care director, home care office manager and billing department. Attention to detail will be required to comply with regulations of home care under the CMS and Joint Commission.

Full Time, Monday – Friday 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage communication with referral sources, clients and providers.
  • Manage and review intake information for consideration for admission. 
  • Initiate admission process ahead of field RN visit for admission completion. 
  • Coding for admissions.
  • Review of OASIS assessments performed by field RNs for accuracy and compliance. Provide education and support to field RNs for improved OASIS accuracy documentation. 
  • Collect data pertaining to quality and reportable statistics for the department.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Minnesota
  • At least two years previous home care experience, including start of care and OASIS assessments.

Responsible for our Windows, VMware and shared storage environments, including designing, implementing and supporting these core infrastructure services. Will also assist in all other aspects of information technology.

Patient/Visitor COVID-19 Screener

Employee needed to work as the front door greeter and COVID-19 screener for the Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic.

Responsibilities: Employee would be responsible for:

  • Taking digital temperature checks on all who enter the building
  • Asking a series of questions related to recent illness or exposure to COVID-19
  • If the person is not wearing a mask, issue a mask that they will be required to wear during their entire time in the facility.

Full-time RN needed to work overnight shifts

Hours: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

EMT or EMR

Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) is looking for trained Emergency Medical Technicians or Emergency Medical Responders to be part of our team. In the EMT role, you will provide basic life support transport care to patients during inter-facility transfers and respond to 911 calls as necessary. This would be an on-call volunteer position with the possibility of picking up paid shifts during weekdays.                                    

Wages: On-call during the week is paid a small stipend per hour, with a weekend premium. If called out for a 911 or transfer, the rate is significantly higher depending on your certification.

Online or Conventional training may be available for those who are interested in becoming EMTs and EMRs in exchange for two years of service to the Madelia Ambulance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of, and comply with all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards.
  • Assist Advance Life Support staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as needed.
  • Transports patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Document patient information in electornic health record system.
  • Safely and efficiently, transfer care of patients to LTC, Hospitals, etc.
  • Continuing education is required. 

Qualifications

  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B) from MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board.
