Receptionist/Scheduler in Medical Clinic

Full-Time Hours 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday

Radiologic Technologist - Full Time

Four 9-hour day shifts with rotating call on nights/weekends/and holidays 

Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates CT and x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process. Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned. This position in an on-call position with rotation nights, weekends, and holidays. May perform portable imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, assist in pain injections with positioning and use of c-arm, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. 

Qualifications: Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. ARRT CT certification is preferred. 1-2 years experience in CT is preferred. 

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

Maintenance Engineer 

Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic is growing and is seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer to perform all aspects of facility maintenance. This position is responsible for performing work related to maintenance, repair and operation of equipment, and systems. 


  • Monitors electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, general and preventative maintenance, building maintenance and other tasks. 
  • Responds to building structure issues including but not limited to roofs, foundations, windows, doors, and exterior facades to evaluate scope of the issue and advises supervisor on appropriate actions. 
  • Check and maintain HVAC systems, including daily boiler checks.
  • Keep hospital campus yard, landscaping and grounds free of debris.
  • Remove snow and/or ice from areas as necessary to maintain patient and employee safety.
  • Assemble office equipment, light fixtures, etc., along with the general maintenance of same.
  • Performs minor repair of interior finishes including but not limited to walls, paint, flooring, ceilings, casework, door and hardware adjustments, and changing light bulbs.
  • This position includes being a part of the on call rotation.  


  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License  
  • Must have a Specialist or higher Boiler license or willing to obtain a boiler license within specified time frame. Hospital will help with obtaining Boiler license.
  • Must also have an understanding of mechanical equipment, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems

EMT or EMR - Volunteers

Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) is looking for trained Emergency Medical Technicians or Emergency Medical Responders to be part of our team. In the EMT role, you will provide basic life support transport care to patients during inter-facility transfers and respond to 911 calls as necessary. This would be an on-call volunteer position with the possibility of picking up paid shifts during weekdays. 

Online or Conventional training may be available for those who are interested in becoming EMTs and EMRs in exchange for two years of service to the Madelia Ambulance.


  • Maintain knowledge of, and comply with all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards.
  • Assist Advance Life Support staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as needed.
  • Transports patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Document patient information in electornic health record system.
  • Safely and efficiently, transfer care of patients to LTC, Hospitals, etc.
  • Continuing education is required. 


  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B) from MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board.
  • Valid driver’s license and DMV record that meet the MCHC insurability requirements
  • Ability to safely move patients with the assistance of a partner
