Dietary Manager

Full Time

Seeking a full-time Dietary Manager responsible to oversee and facilitate the entire dietary department. Oversee and assist in the preparation of food in accordance with prescribed resident/tenant diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations. Promote and demonstrate excellence in customer service. Will be expected to develop and stay within parameters of the approved Dietary budget and complete inventory for Dietary department. On a daily basis the Dietary Manager is expected to oversee adequate staffing and scheduling issues and ensure planning, organizing and follow through on policies and procedures throughout the department. Will assist Registered Dietician with clinical assessments, care plans and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Completion or enrolled in an approved Dietary Manager's Certification coursework that meets state and federal Critical Access Hospital requirements.
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification within one year of hire required.
  • Two years food service experience required
  • Strong managerial experience.

Radiologic Technologist - PRN

Weekly Hours: Varies 

Responsibilities: Performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. Operates CT and x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines; ensures the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. Ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures; conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors. Implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process. Delivers excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures. Ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned. This position in an on-call position with rotation nights, weekends, and holidays. May perform portable imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, assist in pain injections with positioning and use of c-arm, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. 

Qualifications: Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Working knowledge of diagnostic radiographic principles, including radiographic positioning, film/image processing, quality control, and radiation protection is required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. ARRT CT certification is preferred. 1-2 years experience in CT is required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

EMT or EMR - Volunteers

Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) is looking for trained Emergency Medical Technicians or Emergency Medical Responders to be part of our team. In the EMT role, you will provide basic life support transport care to patients during inter-facility transfers and respond to 911 calls as necessary. This would be an on-call volunteer position with the possibility of picking up paid shifts during weekdays. 

Training may be available for those who are interested in becoming EMTs and EMRs in exchange for two years of service to the Madelia Ambulance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of, and comply with all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures and standards.
  • Assist Advance Life Support staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as needed.
  • Transports patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Document patient information in EHR and/or other electronic system in accordance with program standards, department policies/procedures.
  • Safely and efficiently, transfer care of patients to other care providers in appropriate setting (LTC, Hospital & etc.)
  • Keep abreast of new treatments and medical procedures through continuing education 

Qualifications

  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B) from MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board.
  • Valid driver’s license and DMV record that meet the MCHC insurability requirements
  • Ability to safely lift, pull, push and carry a minimum of 150 pounds

Billing Specialist - Medical

Full time: Monday - Friday

Description: Billing Specialist for hospital, clinic, and home care, billing of all insurance types. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a Critical Access
Hospital (CAH). Billing for a provider-based clinic a plus. Individual must be a self starter and able to work independently and with others.  

Qualifications: Post-secondary for Medical Office Procedures/Medical Secretary and equivalent of 5 years medical billing experience. Credit given for years of experience in lieu of education.
